Getting on to
the right path

The SE London Green Chain now has a comprehensive guide to finding your way onto the Green Chain called “The Green Chain Access Audit - a guide to the condition of the paths and whether there are any obstuctions when you join them.

It’s a bit of a dry title, but in fact it provides loads of useful advice to help you enjoy the Green Chain Open Spaces. Information in the Access Guide includes:

Car Parks, toilets, train stations and bus stops

Which paths are in good condition and parts have problems - like uneven surfaces.

Are there obstacles along the way like motor bike barriers, steps and road crossings.

How steep are the hills.

Is the path hard and firm or muddy when wet.

Is the path wide enough for my wheelchair or buggy.

If you have a disability or belong to a group that would like a copy of the guide on CD, please get in touch with the Green Chain Project Officer at audit@greenchain.com.
Your comments and feedback are (as always) appreciated.
